Center Information

Sleeping Quarters: Air conditioned facility. Sleeping quarters are Sunday School classrooms on the second floor of the church, as well as the old youth room area. You will need to bring your own air mattresses or cots, sleeping bags, and pillows.


Cafeteria/Kitchens: There is a large kitchen and dining area in the Family Life Center.


Showers: ASP Shower trailer.


Recreation Space: The Family Life Center generally will be open for recreation. There is also a sizeable parking lot for outdoor space. The church is in town, so space is a bit more limited.


Closest Medical Facility: King’s Daughters Ashland Urgent Care, 2245 Winchester Ave, Ashland, KY; King’s Daughters Medical Center/ Hospital, 2301 Lexington Ave, Ashland KY.

Interesting Facts: Boyd County KY is located in the “Tri-State” area, bordering West Virginia and Ohio. Calgon Carbon constructed the Big Sandy Plant in 1961 and it has since became the world’s largest producer of granular activated carbon (look it up here). The facility produces in excess of 100 million pounds of granular activated carbon annually.
