Center Information

Sleeping Quarters: Air conditioned facility. You will sleep in classrooms in one designated hallway. You will need to bring air mattresses or cots, pillows and sleeping bags.

Cafeteria/Kitchens: We will have access to the school cafeteria and kitchen.

Showers: There are showers off the side of the gymnasium.

Recreation Space: There are fields and plenty of other outdoor space on the school campus. The cafeteria area and gymnasium also have plenty of space for indoor gatherings.

Closest Medical Facility: Riverside Health Center (open during the week, and connected to the school); MedExpress Urgent Care, 5430 MacCorkle Ave SE, Charleston, WV 25304 (about 13 minute drive); CAMC Memorial Hospital, 3200 MacCorkle Ave SE, Charleston, WV 25304 (about 15 minute drive).

Belle is a small town about 20 minutes outside of Charleston, West Virginia’s capital. There is quick access to rural areas of the county as well as urban areas. It sits right along the Kanawha River.

History of ASP in the County: ASP first worked in Kanawha County in 2018. We are so excited to return, further partnerships in the area, and meet unmet needs in the county. This will be our second center in the county, tasked primarily with working in the southern, more rural areas.

Interesting Facts: Kanawha County hosts the state capital in Charleston. The county is very spread out geographically and therefore very diverse.
