Our Programs:  Summer Program   |   Year-Round Program   |   Helping Hands   |   College Service Project   |   New Build

Year-Round Program: September – May

ASP is open all year–including summer–to groups of volunteers.  It doesn’t matter if you can spare a week or only a few days — ASP provides you the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the world, not to mention in your life.

Whether you volunteer with your church, college, or corporate group, we’ll help you create an experience that’s just right.  You will stay in a climate-controlled ASP center with bunk beds and hearty meals. Regardless of what time of year you serve with us, you’ll also be able to enjoy the beauty of Appalachia.

This is no trip to the spa, though.  You’ll lay shingles, replace linoleum, or build handicap accessible ramps. Whether you have construction experience or not, you’ll be matched with jobs that suit your skills. Even if you have no building experience at all, our staff will show you the ropes — helping you develop skills you didn’t even know you had.

ASP is more than a building program — it’s a relationship ministry. You will spend a lot of time interacting with the families of Appalachia you are serving, and you’ll find your group developing closer bonds and creating a sense of family.

Whether you’re in high school, college, mid-career or retired, your ASP experience will enrich your life. You’ll develop a true heart for Christian service, and come home energized and ready to give back to your church, your workplace, your community.

When you move to help those in need, God moves in you. When you change the lives of others, they have a way of changing you.
